Welcome

At Halland House, we help adults with learning disabilities to live meaningful lives and leave a lasting legacy in the community. We offer both daycare and residential care to support people with complex needs and those living more independently.

We have a highly-trained team of dedicated and compassionate individuals who strive to make everyone in our care feel like part of the Halland House family.

Our Services Work with us

Putting People First

Our person-centred programmes promote the wellbeing and development of residents and non residents, and we regularly assess our care plans to make sure they adapt with the changing needs, wishes and requirements of every individual.

Halland House learning disabilities care home is based near Uckfield, East Sussex. The residence is spacious, well maintained and has a garden for outdoor activities. The grounds are closely monitored to keep residents safe, while giving them the independence to live a rich and fulfilling life.

We’re fully accredited and regulated by the Care Quality Commission.

Life at Halland House

Guests and residents at Halland House enjoy an activity-packed schedule with space to relax and meet new people. We have a sensory room where individuals can go to feel calm, safe, and focused.

Home Comforts

We serve nutritious meals and drinks throughout the day and are on hand to ensure the right medication is taken at the right time.

Our team is flexible and supportive to give people the right balance of independence and guidance to help them feel comfortable, happy, and at home.

Residential Care Daycare

Halland House is home to 29 permanent residents. We’re based in a small, rural village called Halland, close to shops and public transport.

We have the historic town of Lewes and seaside resorts, Eastbourne and Brighton, on our doorstep, as well as the beautiful rolling hills of the South Downs National Park. The home has its own accessible vehicle to take residents and daycare visitors on day trips around the local area.

Dedicated wings for different needs

The house is divided into three separate wings depending on the level of care required. The ground floor has been specially adapted to cater for those needing the highest levels of support, including physical or mobility needs.

Residents who have some of the skills to live more independently but still require moderate support have a dedicated, modern living area on the first floor, while our annexe, known as the Lodge, caters to people who are focused on learning independent living skills and need less hands-on care.

Daycare

Finding reliable daycare for people living with learning disabilities can be challenging. We provide a safe and fun environment where people can thrive and socialise with staff and other guests. We run stimulating activities and take day trips to visit areas in the local community.

Our daycare is flexible to allow both the person living with learning disabilities and their family or carer to have more independence.

We understand the importance of clear communication and taking a joined-up approach to ensure continuity of care and encourage people who are working on developmental goals.
